traditions and present facts. For most eastern countries, they all went through a
long-time feudal society and the feudal ideas are still stamped on people's mind, they
are influenced by the different hierarchies starting from childhood in the daily life,
such as kids are in the charge of the class monitor. In consistence of the tradition,
education plays an important role in continuing the culture, kids are taught to know
the hierarchy, that explains why even in the 21st century, there are still a lot of people
believing that men are born to be in the different classes, the governor and governed.
Compared to the people in eastern countries, people lives in the western countries,
their minds are dominant by the freedom, liberty and equality, and thought like
everyone is granted as a moral norm in the society. From the above content we can
see that the combination of different cultures and education contributes to the
different levels of power distance. In addition to the culture and education parts, the
present facts which we can conclude as a fear to the boss also have a big influence on
forming different power distance. Except Japan, Singapore, South Korea etc , most of
the eastern countries are developing countries, and the main industrial structure in the
eastern countries are labour-intensive industry, companies usually have lots of labours
and the present situation determines that employees can not easily participate in
management and decision-making in the organization because of the large population.
High power distance can help the managers effectively the employees and increase
