Personal Interview is the last step for the aspirants to enter into their desired BSchool. And it is the most important stage of the selection process. PIs can be a cake walk or it can be the most gruelling stage of the entire selection process for many of the aspirants. Another thing is that you cannot have the knowledge of everything under the sun, but the good thing is that panellists don’t expect this from you. They are more interested in judging your thought process and your views about what is happening in the world. Success rate in the Interviews is proportional to the time spent in preparation. So we at IIM Ranchi realize that now it is the perfect time for you to fine tune your preparation for WAT and PI. Few Tips for Personal Interviews




Please read one general and one business newspaper daily. You can watch Talk Shows like Big Fight on News Channels. You can also read some good magazines like Frontline etc. This will give you knowledge about the current topics and content for WAT and PI. Know your Hobbies well and be ready with something impressive to talk about your hobbies if the panellists ask you, For example if you like watching movies then be ready for with names of last 3 movies, your favourite characters etc. For instance, if you like philosophy, know what objectivism is and so on and so forth. Go through some the major subjects of your Undergraduate course. If you are an engineer then please go through your Final year project and Summer training report. Be very clear with your engineering concepts specially if you a fresher. Sometimes questions related academics can be asked to experienced candidates.
