Interpersonal Relations

1. I feel like my the ESTJ type made me see things more differently than I ever have before just because answering questions about myself and my life I never actually can just sit down and do that any other day. I think it is accurate in a lot of ways. I have really never thought about my life in those situations. I am very extraverted, I am sensing to a lot of things and with emotions and things that are happening around me. I think a lot of things out and how the outcome will be before I do something usually. There are sometimes where I am just curious about what is going to happen if I just do it without thinking what may happen or what could go wrong.
2. Impacting my career I honestly don’t think that could really happen because, ESTJ matches me just almost perfect. I do not like to follow other people in worth ethic I like to be the one other people follow. I get accomplishments about my work ethic and how hard of a worker I am and also very dependable. I do not like to take the short cuts around things that are suppose to be getting done in a work environment, when taking a shortcut a lot of people are going to miss things then they have to go back to finish them up or have to fix something because just taking a shortcut really does not get the work done faster in the end. It may be nice at that moment but at the end you are going to have to go back and do what you did miss the first time. So I personally just do it the right way the first time and get it over with.
3. In relationships being a ESTJ I am a very enthusiastic person who fulfills there obligations and duties right away when I am asked to do it. Family is the most important thing in my life and then I bring my friends in after my family, nothing will ever beat a relationship between family being blood and just a friendship that has lasted years and years. Family should always come first, then friends. I am a very dedicated person to something I say I am going to do

My results from Myers-Briggs are Extraversion, Sensing, Feeling, and Judging. ESFJ’s are categorized as the Caregiver by Myers-Briggs. Many positive characteristics come from ESFJ such as, loyal, warmhearted, harmonious, outgoing, and orderly. However we’re conscious of appearances, and take opinions of others very seriously. When taking the survey I tried my best to answer the questions honestly, I perceive the results are anywhere from 85%-95% accurate. When I was reading my results I know that I’m extraverted, I use my values when making difficult decisions, and am comfortable with a routine of how things are handled. When choosing where to attend for my bachelors I used my values of money consciousness and being closer to my family that…

As an ESFJ (extravert, sensing, feeling, judging) type, per the MBTI, “ESFJs often feel motivated by their interaction with people. They tend to enjoy a wide circle of acquaintances, and they gain energy in social situations (whereas introverts expend energy).” (ESFJ, 2017) “ESFJs tend to be more concrete than abstract. They focus their attention on the details rather than the big picture, and on immediate realities rather than future possibilities.” (ESFJ, 2017) “We tend to value personal considerations above objective criteria. When making decisions, we often give more weight to social implications than to logic.” (ESFJ, 2017) “ESFJs tend to plan their activities and make decisions early. They derive a sense of control through predictability.” (ESFJ, 2017) “ESFJs focus on the outside world and assess their experiences subjectively. They largely base their judgments on their belief system and on the effects of actions on people. ESFJs are literal and concrete, trusting the specific, actual information gathered through their physiological senses” (ESFJ, 2017) “ESFJs project warmth through a genuine interest in the well-being of others. They are often skilled at bringing out the best in people, and they want to understand other points of view. They…

M2 To asses the role of effective communication and interpersonal interaction in a health and social care context, I will demonstrate this scenario concerning working with individuals who suffer from dementia within a care home. The first step in tackling such a situation is being able to understand and asses the needs involved for the individual who has dementia. Being well aware of the challenges laid ahead for their care is essential. Another aspect that is vital is that staff are fully qualified and trained to the highest standard to assist in effective communication and cooperation.…

When communicating the metaphors inhaling and exhaling are used to explain the receptive and expressive parts of communication (Stewart, 2009). Inhaling and exhaling takes place in both verbal and nonverbal communication. “…communicators are always both talking and listening, sending and receiving, giving off u and taking them in…” (Stewart, 2009, p. 37). Inhaling b information is a systematic process in communication that involves the complex lines of perceiving and listening. Because no two people are alike, how one perceives and listens to information when communicating not only varies depending on cultural and environmental influences, religion, etc., but how one breaks down the information from start to finish (selection, organizing, inference) can determine what information is/is not important, worldview, etc. These points can be contributing factors to drawing a specific inference.…

According to the Myers Briggs Type Indicator, I am classified as an ESFJ—Extraverted, Sensing, Feeling, and Judging. I scored 56% on extravert—being outgoing, loud, non-secretive. I prefer to sense things rather than trusting my intuition by only 12%. I scored highest on the feeling over thinking category with 62% towards feeling. There was only an 11% difference between judging vs. perceiving. “Guardians of birthdays, holidays and celebrations, ESFJs are generous entertainers. They enjoy and joyfully observe traditions and are liberal in giving, especially where custom prescribes. All else being equal, ESFJs enjoy being in charge. They see problems clearly and delegate easily, work hard and play with zest. ESFJs, as do most SJs, bear strong allegiance to rights of seniority. They willingly provide service (which embodies life 's meaning) and expect the same from others.” (Joe Butt, Extraverted Sensing Feeling Judging).…

However, I think that ESTJs don't work alone, and we expect our reliability and work ethic to be reciprocated - people with this personality type meet their promises, and if partners or subordinates jeopardize them through incompetence or laziness, or worse still, dishonesty, we do not hesitate to show their wrath. This can earn them a reputation for inflexibility, a trait shared by all Sentinels (SJ), but it's not because ESTJs are arbitrarily stubborn, but because we truly believe that these values are what make society work.…

Interpersonal communication is truly an art, but it's also a science. The science of clear communication, active listening, persuasion and collaboration can be taught. Effective communication is situational. The "right" thing to say or do in one situation may backfire in another. What works with one person doesn't work with another. Effective communicators have mastered both the science and the art of interpersonal communication, applying the principles of social and emotional intelligence to each situation they encounter.…
