All the praises are for the almighty, Allah who bestowed me with the ability and potential to complete this Internship. I also pay my gratitude to the Almighty for enabling me to complete this Internship Report within due course of time. Words are very few to express enormous humble obligations to my affectionate Parents for their prayers and strong determination to enabling me to achieve this job. I take this opportunity to record my deep sense of gratitude and appreciation to my university, which made my internship possible for me, as I am enrolled in Department of Management Sciences. I also appreciate the cordial co-operation from all my concern Managers in the different departments of Habib bank Ltd especially marketing manager, employees working under accounts department, Marketing Executive and Admin & HR management for providing me requisite information and knowledge for compilation of my complete Internship.

HBL was the first commercial bank to be established in Pakistan in 1947. Over the years, the bank has grown its branch network and become the largest private sector bank with over 1,400 branches across the country and a customer base exceeding five million. HBL also has a presence in 25 countries with subsidiaries in Hong Kong and the UK and affiliates in Nepal and Nigeria.
HBL’s key area of operations encompasses product offerings and services in Retail Banking and, in recent years, Consumer Banking as well. HBL has the largest Corporate Banking portfolio in the country with an active Investment Banking arm. SME and Agriculture lending programs and banking services are offered in both urban and rural centers. Using our branch network as a key competitive advantage, our business concentration has remained consistent for Retail, Consumer, Corporate and SME clients.
HBL is expanding its presence in principal international markets including the UK, UAE, South and Central Asia, Africa and the Far East. Habib Bank Limited specifies the duties and responsibilities of the personnel of the organization. At present the bank operates through one central and 23 regional office and 1439 branches, all over Pakistan. Each Regional Head Quarter is headed by a Chief Executive and assisted by General Manager Operations and General Manager Support Services. The president and executives committee look after the affairs of the bank. The Regional Head Quarter controls the branches in their areas.
As I was working as an internee, HBL has focused by abilities and my attitudes accordingly. I spent my most of the time in cash department where employees guide me about their workings in a very friendly manner. Same as I was concerning a marketing as my majors, I intern in finance and HR department both just to get myself trained and guided about all of the specific departments.
