The definition of integrity according to the Dictionary is, "a firm adherence to moral and ethical principles; and the transparent honesty in which one thinks, says, and does.” Though there are many ways to look at ones integrity. A person with integrity possesses many qualities. Three of these qualities are moral, ethical principles and honesty. Ethics is the principle in which a person’s long-term success is built on. Integrity is the adherence to moral and ethical principles; therefore the result of strong ethics, and its quality to strive and to uphold. First of all, morals are the rules that govern which actions are right and which are wrong, and morals can be for all of society or an individual’s beliefs. In other words, moral is the behavior of differentiation of intentions, decisions and actions between what is good and bad. Second of all, ethics are the moral principle of an individual and the standards in which a person knows right from wrong. Furthermore, ethics leads to a set of rules of conduct for specific situations, and the development of standards for which a person does. An example, is when a person thinks of stealing, but their standard of ethics comes into action and shows them what’s good from bad. In addition, honesty is a pure ethical principle through which a person can earn respect and honor. In other words, integrity means that a person adheres to a moral conviction, or code of honor, that won't allow them to do certain things that they feel, would degrade them. For example, to take credit for a job in which causes someone else to get demoralized, but when someone asks if it’s their own work, they are honest and say yes. In conclusion, integrity is the moral conviction, ethic principle and code of honor in which a person performs.
