School lunch is so much more healthy for you then the food outside of school. The fact that they put diet soda in the vending machine and make food taste like fake food is just great. If anything there should be regular soda and food that tastes good. School food is meant to be good for you but no one enjoys it anyways. So some aren't eating , or there just forcing themselves to eat. The foods should be ordered normally from a store, not from a special, high quality business. Everyone just loves a sugar free strawberry applesauce. Furthermore, people know diet soda as being better for you, but really it just a whole bunch of chemicals going in your body. School lunch should be changed to non-artificial food.…

Thinking back on this week, what are the meals that you have eaten? Were these meals home cooked or were they from a fast food restaurant? There are around 160,000 fast food restaurants in the United States (Pew Research Center), but do these restaurants control how you think or how you feel? No, they do not. Obesity in America should not be blamed on these fast food restaurants. I believe that it is solely America’s fault for being obese. Many say advertising has a play in what people eat, but I disagree. I see car advertisements and clothing advertisements, but do I go out and buy a new car and blame the car company for my being broke? No. That is why I agree with Mary Maxfield’s: Food as Thought: Resisting the Moralization of Eating. I understand that America today is a fast paced society and sometimes people may not have time to cook a full on five star meal. The least people can do is run by their local grocery store, pick up a few ingredients and make a quick homemade recipe. Don’t spoil yourself and your family with the toxins and chemicals fast food companies put in their food. Pick up a carrot!…

The history of this festival was started on the last Wednesday of August 1945. During that time, the town square, where the “tomatina” is traditionally held nowadays, was crowded with young people to watch a Gigantes and Cabezudos parade (a giant carnival figures with a grotesque head). Suddenly, one of the participants fell down and when he stood up, he started to beat everyone around and as the result, everybody got caught in a fight. The young people involved in the fight took any tomatoes or vegetables from the vegetables stall nearby and started to throw them each other until the police broke up the battle and those responsible for the riot need to pay for the damages. The next year on the same Wednesday of August the youths of the town met again but this time with their own tomatoes.…
