Omatek Computers Ghana Ltd is a computer manufacturing firm that locally produces desktops, laptops, casings, multi-media products such as Plasma TV, DVD, etc from Semi-Knocked Down (SKD) and Completely Knocked Down (CKD) components.
Omatek uses information systems that serve various purposes throughout the organization. Its functional business areas include, but are not limited to Accounting, Finance, Marketing and Human Resource. There are various Information system modules which these functional areas use to analyze data and make business decisions, for example, SCM or ERP.
The enterprise application systems such as SCM or ERP are information systems that tie together the different functional areas of the organization such as order entry, inventory management, accounting and finance, and manufacturing.
