Introductions
Opening a small business that provides passion and inspired the customer’s choices of the types of music that will trigger warm memories is a good business plan. It is a very competitive business so research and knowledge in the market is necessary. Starting a Brick and Mortar nostalgic record store will be the plan. For the business to be functional the right information systems need to be selected to control the business process. The information systems considered are these five systems: Functional area IS, Transaction processing system, Office automation system, Expert system, and Electronic commerce system. This is just to get the business started and once it is in operation the partners can make future decision based on the success of the business. The focus is to find systems that can provide sales functions, payment options, providing customers with convince of sales online, payroll system, and to support the daily activities (Rainer & Cegielski, 2011). This is crucial to making a name for the company and marketing the types of business to different generations.

Functional area IS
The functional area IS will help the business operated in an organized structured. The functions are divided into role such as accounting, marketing, research, and development (Chron, 2012). A business implementing those functions can keep the finance in order. A department of professional equipped with skills and experience in the expansion and exposing the business to the market, research, and development new strategy for future success. The business will be organized, structure, and protected because the company’s money are spent properly. Benefits:

Specialization: Each department is equipped with professionals that focus on the company’s brand based on their specialized knowledge, expertise, and experience. Efficiency and Productivity: Good training, employees will be confidence in their daily work, work is process efficiently, and it will motivate them to increase their productivity. Drawback:

Lack of Teamwork: People may not get along because of personality, work, and project may not be on schedule. Difficult Management Control: Difficult for top management to maintain and control when the busy expand. (Chron, 2012)

Transaction processing system
It is very important that a company has a system to monitor, collect, storage, and processed the data of the company daily transactions (Rainer & Cegielski, 2011). Transaction processing system is crucial to a successful business plan, it ensure that the completion of the job is correct and on a timely matter. It is assistance to the employees and top management of ways to tracking sales, inventories, maintaining budget, and keeping consistency of all transactions files. The manager will use the system report to analyze the performance and work of the employees. This help maintained and meet daily, weekly, and monthly goals for the business. Benefits:

Efficiency: transactions will be consistent, limited errors. Processing speed: transactions process immediately Control: transactions will process the same every time.
