Information management in the Macedonian companies
Information management is the collection and management of information from one or more sources and the distribution of that information to one or more audiences. This sometimes involves those who have a stake in, or a right to that information. Companies have struggled with information challenges for years. A decade ago, large companies began to address this issue by spending billions of dollars on cutting-edge information technology solutions. Today, advances in information technology have reduced the cost and complexity of harnessing these capabilities, making it possible for midsize companies to increase the scope of the information they can collect and distribute. The number of companies in Macedonia that use information technology is relatively small. The reason for this is the fact that Macedonian companies don’t realize the importance and effect that the information technology can have on the company. In Macedonia midsize enterprises are mostly shooting in the dark, but large companies like banks, insurance companies and mobile operators use information technology that helps them speed up the decision-making and information flow and giving them a window into their business that they never had before.
