Felda Transport Services Sdn Bhd (FTSSB) which was formerly known as Perbadanan Angkut Felda (Angkut) was established on 1 January 1975. It was initially structured as an inland transporter servicing the Felda Group of Companies. On 4 September 1995, it was incorporated under the Malaysian Companies Act 1965 and started its operation on 1 January 1996. Presently the headquarters of FTSSB is located at Tingkat 2, Balai Felda, Jalan Gurney Satu, 54000 Kuala Lumpur.
FTSSB is a wholly owned subsidiary of Felda Holdings Berhad and Koperasi Permodalan Felda. For the past 30 years, FTSSB has been involved in the transportation of liquid and general cargoes, courier, domestic forwarding, haulage, tanker, airfreight as well as jetty operations.
Recently, in August 2005, FTSSB was appointed as a Malaysian Government Multimodal Transport Operator (MTO). The Company has transformed itself into a total logistics service provider with vast capacity and capabilities to service local and international transportation and shipping requirements.
Mainly, FTSSB services are focused on the transportation of complete industrial and infrastructure projects from world wide sources to any destination. Its Freight Forwarding / MTO Division has specialized teams to handle different types of cargoes based on Strategic Business Unit (SBU) units includes Government Agency, Oil and Gas, Telecommunications and Power, Infrastructures and Heavy Industry as well as Felda Group of Companies.
The Information Technology (IT) Unit is one of the most important divisions to ensure the flow and the process of shipping and delivering is a success from the beginning to the end. The IT unit monitors the system to make sure it is in place
As a whole, FTSSB has four main depots which are located at Sabah, Pasir Gudang, Johor, Port Klang, Selangor and Kuantan, Pahang. In addition it has few sub-depots in Kuching, Sarawak, Tawau, Sabah and Lahad Datu, Sabah. The headquarters which is located in Kuala Lumpur and the four main depots have their own IT unit. All together there are 566 permanent staffs, over 400 un-permanent staffs and over 350 lorry drivers at all the business locations.
Un-permanent staffs refer to the employees who had bailed with (FTSSB) as an employee but will only be called for duty if circumstances require them to do so, for example, insufficient lorry drivers or wholeseller. The IT unit which started humbly in 1998 was managed by only one staff in its headquarters then and was later re-organized in 2004. It started hiring more employees to be located in headquarters and every depot. It was in 2004 that FTSSB started having its own Information System.

The information systems used by FTSSB depends on the usage of the related divisions.
