Pioneers of the Industrial Revolution
In the early 1800s there was a frontier out west for expansion and the pursuit of the American dream. The reason for the frontier out west was to find new beginnings and new resources due to the north and south that just got done with having a war and the pioneers wanted to move away, they heard there were new resources and expansions in industries. This document will cover the Pioneers and the new types of resources they encountered, how the pioneers are using them and how industrialization took over the west and turned it into the industrial revolution.
When pioneers first came out west it was not like the south which had the KKK and racism it was a lot more diverse whites were friends with African Americans they were friends with Spanish and so forth. There was no racism at all there were a lot of gangs that were multi cultural. There definitely was a lot of violence still going on out west considering there was a lack in and hardly any police or armed forces at the time out west. It was definitely everyone for them self’s at the time. (www.UShistory.org/us/13f)According to resources not until the findings of new resources and growth of new towns did this gang oriented west slow down and there was less violence. Another reason why some of the violence quieted down was because some of the outlaws became the sheriffs in these new towns. There were plenty of new positions available due to expansion and population growth. Basically the criminals became the new law enforcement and cut down a lot of the old gangs.
One of the biggest new resources was oil and it needed huge new industrial factories to package the new resource which led to hundreds of new jobs available for pioneers that needed filled quick. At first there was not enough people even for the jobs but soon enough more pioneers were discovering this and joined the frontier out west.
