On the occasion of our 66th Independence Day, I extend my warmest greetings to all of you from all walks of life, presented here in our School. I also compliment every citizen of this country whose hard work, productive prowess and enterprising zeal have put India among the front ranks of the nations of the world. As citizens of independence India, we must reflect on the values and principles which were in the minds and hearts of those who fought and sacrificed for our freedom. Dear Students,

We are at a historic phase when the world is shifting course. It is impacting our economy, polity, trade, commerce, education and pace of life. In this era of transformation, India definitely cannot lag behind. Our entire effort must be to ensure that there is overall development in which we all prosper. India, a mature and a harmonious society, had a rich tradition of learning and a philosophy based on experiences, knowledge and wisdom of thousands of years. Swami Vivekananda spoke of India as, “the ancient land, where wisdom made its home before it went into any other country”. With faith in ourselves, faith in our capacity to work together and faith in success, we will continue our journey. We have the talent, to create a great nation; and with our collective will and hard work we will do so. And as we progress and as our flag proudly flutters, on Independence Day, we can with pride cite the few lines: “Freedom has its life in the hearts, in the actions, in the spirit of men”. “वतन हमारा है मिसाल मोहब्बत की, तोडता है जो दिवार नफरत की। मेरी खुश-नसीबी कि मिली जिंदगी इस चमन में, भुला न सके कोई इसकी खुशबू सातों जनम में”।। With these words, I once again wish all of you Happy Independence Day with peace, prosperity and progress.
