In Thy Womb
LIFE is the greatest gift we have ever received from our loving God. This should be the first thing we should be grateful for Him. And we should also remember the circumstances that our mother went through during her child bearing periods. And this is the other thing to be thankful about. Witnessing how a woman sacrifices almost half of her life in conceiving a child in her womb until the day of her giving birth to that awaited gift from God was really an amazing thing to realize. It made me realize how important my life is, and made me more grateful to that wonderful person who happens to be my mother for giving me the chance to exist in the world where she lives. In the film we have watched, I have learned so many things just like how fetus is being form in her mother’s womb, why are we right or left handed, and what kind of birth are we going to have, and so many other things. It is so amazing that it has to take place this way. It saddens me to hear e news saying that there is another poor fetus left in nowhere by someone who happens to be her selfish mother. Life is so important. Why there are people who cannot give importance to it. I hope that someday they realize the essence of the opportunity of a baby to experience the beauty of this world. And we, children of today’s society should try to look up and praise the greatest creator for showering us with the best mom in the world. And the last thing that I have reflected is that I am lucky because I am alive. I am fortunate because I have a mother. And I am blessed because I was loved by her.

Pregnant women who have little or no access to healthcare or prenatal care has always been a concern of mine. I do work in a hospital where many babies are born under weight, premature, with illnesses, addictions, or even a developmental disability. Many of times the reasons for these infants being born like this is because the mother was not educated and had little or no access to prenatal care. If someone would had educated and guided this woman would the outcomes been the same? Recently I gave birth to my first child and I thought to myself, what if I had not of have prenatal care? Would my son been healthy? I even think about the support I was given thought my pregnancy. What if I did not…

The rights of the mother exceed the rights of the unborn child, because she has spent (however many years) getting to wherever she is in life therefore, why should her life be taken away because of one mistake she has made, by something that does not know who she is or what her situation may be. By saying that the rights of the unborn child are greater, is saying that the creator of the life is inferior to the life itself and that makes no sense…

According to When Religion and Politics mix , “a fetus is a unborn human being, and it is morally wrong to take a human life; the unborn child's life must consequently be legally protected.” A woman should have the right to do what she wants to do with her body and her life, but not with another human being. According to Vieira, the baby is entitled to his or her rights to life and to have a chance in this world (Vieira 1). A baby should not have to lose his or her life because of the parents decisions. A baby is a human just like the mother and father. The parents are responsible for their own actions and should have to deal the consequences. The baby should not be punished because of his or her parents decision. If the mother does not want the baby, they should chose another option.…
