Background of the study

Nowadays, in a highly technological society, human productivity is made more efficient through the development of electronic gadgets. Now, with the advent of such modernization in education, one way to globalize the process of research is to realize that technology is advancing at an incredibly fast pace. Computers are not confined to being used for entertainment but its role in education is also vast. Library is derived from the old French term “librairie” which means “a collection of books.” Reading materials in school are stored in libraries. Library is a place in which books and related materials are kept for use but not for sale. It is also organized for use and maintained by a public body, an institution or a private individual. In addition, it is a place in which we get information in any format and from many sources. The librarian has to keep the room neat so that it is conducive for learning. The librarian is also the person who is liable for monitoring all the books that are borrowed and returned by the borrowers. Queue time is amount of time a person, signal, or thing spends before being attended to, or before value adding work is performed to or on it. In this research will show how to improve the queue time using the library log-in software. The formula use was Tq = Manual Work + Walking + Waiting. Diliman Computer Technology Institute (DCTI) was established in the year 1998, it is a private, non-sectarian tertiary educational institution. Situated along Commonwealth Avenue, In Quezon City. DCTI initially offered computer and livelihood courses. It served as a training arm of Diliman Foundation Inc. Through the man power skills training program in partnership with the technical education skills and development in authority (TESDA) and the department of labor and employment (DOLE) offering a variety of information and technology and restaurant specific skills development programs. DCTI continually seeks and develops programs to make students’ needs and the requirements of the industry. In early 2000, the institute saw the growing medical transcription industry and its need for transcriptionists, and launched the medical transcription course in 2004. Inspired by its mission-vision to produce globally competitive graduates who internalize and practice professionalism and social responsibility, create a rewarding, fulfilling and progressive learning environment for its faculty and staff, establish financially viable and sustainable educational institution, and develop active school community participation in formulation and implementation of socio-civic projects, it has initiated the computer literacy program in partnership with UNITECH educational program corporation in 2009. In a progressive learning environment, the institution In 2008, offered its 4-year courses in Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, and Bachelor of Science in Office Administration, the education program of BEEd and BSEd and a course Bachelor of Science in Business Administration were added 2 years later, making DCTI an institution of choice. The school envisions itself as a recognized higher education Institution that harness student’s full potential to produce globally competitive and socially responsive professionals in the field of: Information Technology, Education, Business, in a progressive learning environment.
