White appliance is a foreign company and it’s trying to get in Bangladeshi market. In Bangladesh the average monthly income is about 500 dollar a month which is 35000 in Taka. So the income scale is medium. According to our survey we figured out that microwave oven is used by the people whose income scale is about 70000-80000 or higher in the month. If we consider the social class, we found the people from the higher and higher middle class are using the microwave oven and the rest of the people are comfortable with the gas stove. In Bangladesh, the market of microwave oven is not that good enough. Our company cannot sustain in this limited amount of market. The company actually wants a huge market to do business. In this case, we got only one option and that s to expand the usage of microwave oven in the country and to do so we need to target a new segment. We can’t just work on only two classes. Rather we need to concentrate on the middle class and upcoming middle class people.

One housewife mentioned that it made it easier for her husband to cook because the microwave oven was easy for him to use. They could also market the fact that children as well as husbands can easily use the appliances. Mothers sometimes have so much on their hands and it is hard to make a full meal. If they use those market ideas it might appeal more to the working families. I also think they need to have commercials showing how the oven works. Some people are skeptical on buying items that they know nothing about if they have not previously seen it used. I think that also if the appliance companies make some type of other appliances that correlate with the Indian food dishes and the microwave it might be appealing. Some people have been skeptical of the appliance because it goes against the way their food is usually made. Maybe if they’re appliances that make the food the same way, but it is made in the microwave it might help. The target market should be wider and be for rural and urban markets. I think the only way to really promote the appliances is to lower the prices a little more because people will be un-sure on buying very expensive appliances if they do not see the overall benefit. They need to promote the appliances through billboards, television commercials, and also spokespersons. There will also be other competition but if White…

As students of Usul Fiqh Semester 2 2012/2013 we are required to make a report on Commands and Prohibition and Naskh. The language of the Qur'an (and the Sunnah) differs from that of modern statutes in that Qur'anic legislation is not confined to commands and prohibitions and their consequences, but is often coupled with an appeal to the conscience of the individual. This moral appeal may consist of a persuasion or a warning, an allusion to the possible benefit or harm that may accrue from observing or violating an injunction, or a promise of reward/punishment in the hereafter. Modern laws are often devoid of such appeals, as they are usually confined to an exposition of imperative rules and their tangible results.…

The microwave oven market in the 1980s was in its infancy in China, where competition and demand size were small. Only a few foreign brands such as Toshiba, LG and Whirlpool were in the market and they had no clear intention to expand and dominate because they had not yet sensed the market potential, due in part to their lack of familiarity with the rapidly evolving Chinese market environment. Besides, the high price of their microwave ovens was unaffordable to most Chinese consumers.…

Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock, Department of Fisheries, Export Promotion Bureau, Bangladesh Quality Support Program, Golda Hatchery Association of Bangladesh and many other public and private stakeholders actively participated in the seminar through presentations, speeches and discussions. The participation of Global Aquaculture Alliance and CP (Charoen Pokphand) Foods PLC made the seminar more effective due to the new information and valuable recommendations they brought in for our the Bangladesh shrimp export. The shrimp export had experienced a decline during 2009 due to global recession, natural calamities and a self-imposed ban on fresh water shrimp (prawn) exports to EU countries. The voluntary export ban was followed by over 60 rapid alerts this year from the EU countries due to the alleged discovery of traces of nitrofuran contamination in the exported prawn. The rapid alerts in 2009 alone point out to the fragility of the industry on issues related to…
