CHAPTER ONE
INTRODUCTION
The greatest assets or value that appreciates within an organization is the workers or employees, because systems becomes obsolete , buildings deteriorates, organizational tools and machines wears out, but people can grow, develop and become more effective, if they have leaders who train them to understand their individual potentials that they have, to positively affects the organizational objectives and dreams.
In an organization, what the leaders do with its employee can make or mar the organization, because the success or failure of an organization depends largely on the competence of its employees, irrespective of its economic strength or financial muscles, apparently, it becomes a necessity to develop and nurture employees for greater performance through training.
Henry Ford (planned legacy.com/./ford.html) once said, “you can burn up my factories, burn up my buildings but give me people, and I will bring my business right back”, In other words, Henry ford, understand that people are pivotal to the success of an organization because, an organization cannot reach its peak of success on the basis of one person, rather it succeed by identifying and training its employees for maximum utilization of their abilities for effective organizational performance.
On this platform, the development of organizational employees becomes the most important rudiments of a successful personnel policy of an organization, be it private or public, because preparing a worker require not only proper selection and placement through induction of personnel but also on their developments. Training undoubtedly helps in preparing leaders and managers for a task ahead in order to achieve the organizational objectives.
