Although there is no exact solution to stop illegal immigration, there are some ideas and ways to contain it. No matter how many barriers you put up, people will always find a way to get around them. People who are in desperate need of a better life are willing to risk everything they have to just hopefully get that once chance of success. Even if the punishment for getting caught was death, people will take that chance because they believe they can make it.
With no definite way of stopping the immigrants from crossing the border, one possible solution would be to get a better and stronger border patrol. The border patrol officers have a job, to stop the people trying to cross the border illegally. Obviously they are not doing their job very well if illegal immigration is a rapidly growing problem in our country. The border patrol needs to be more effective and do a better job at their work in stopping people. Even though it may be impossible in stopping every single illegal immigrant, they need to stop every single one they can.
When people are crossing the borders to and from Mexico into the United States, the border patrol needs to do a better job at inspecting the vehicles and people trying to get back into the states. Because some illegal immigrants get into our country by the help of other U.S. citizens; they will just sit in the back seats of their car acting like they belong their and they get a free easy ride into our country. The punishment for illegal immigration should because it is a crime, it's illegal. If the punishment were a greater charge, people may not do it as much in fear of getting caught.
Another way to possibly stop illegal immigration would be to not offer jobs to the illegal immigrants, and give them such a hopeful outlook.
