If I Was a Teacher

My first and foremost thought is that teaching is a noble profession. I have the highest regard for teachers as they are the persons responsible for guiding a student from ignorance to knowledge. I have a wish to become a teacher in the future.

      To start with, my belief is that teachers don’t influence students for a year, but for a lifetime. So , when I become a teacher I would like to be unique with my approach and method of teaching.

      I would make the class interesting by getting the students to participate or interact in the class. We focus too much about effective methods of teaching as well as multimedia teaching methods. I would rather emphasize on effective yet simple methods of learning for students.

My aim would be to develop students who can create their own image. I think teaching should be full of ideas instead of stuffed with facts. This is indeed what I would do,creativity.

Nowadays teaching has become an art more than science. Students want to explore new areas. I eould use strategies that keep students interested. Meaning, instead of giving lectures in classrooms which makes students passive listeners, I would employ the multimedia learning approach using text, images, audio, video and animation to make it an interactive learning process

Though the cost for such teaching methods would be high the impact on students would be far-reaching.

My prior focus when becoming a teacher would be to ‘suggest’ rather than ‘dramatize’. I would gain my students attention by adopting a friendly tone. I wish my students to learn with ease in my class, thus reducing friction and burden on the subject I teach.
