As most people spend a major part of their adult life at work, job satisfaction is an important element off individual wellbeing What factors contribute to job satisfaction? How realistic is expectation of job satisfaction for all works?
Nowadays, most people do some jobs in almost their lives. Therefore, job satisfaction plays a vital role in personal welfare. In following paragraphs, I will offer some elements which can bring job satisfaction to people as well as explain the gap between reality and expectation of job satisfaction. Personnel who have a number of methods can obtain job satisfaction by following factors. Firstly, employees need to feel that what they are doing is worth as well as obtain sense of achievement from doing jobs. For example, I am the assistant of vets. Furthermore, I have been the assistant for four years of my life. The most critical thing is that helping those unfortunate animals can enable me to obtain more sense of fulfilment and feel that this is a valuable work. Secondly, personnel need to believe that they are improving and developing their skills and abilities through the jobs they do. For instance, I have been the assistant of vets for many years. I can gradually improve my specific skills, such as emergency techniques through helping those badly injured animals every day. However, not everyone can obtain job satisfaction from above ways because of the fact that bad economic situation could affect people how to choose their jobs. For instance, in Taiwan, most people who usually feel unhappy about their salary and bosses work hard in order to earn a little salary to pay everything living costs instead of obtaining job satisfaction from the jobs they do. Additionally, the number of Taiwanese unemployed citizens is up to 50,000. Therefore, Taiwanese jobless people only wish can find a job, and they do not care whether they can get job satisfaction or not. In conclusion, it is unlikely to enable everyone to enjoy their jobs....
