The i2 Company History
I2 Technologies, Inc. is one of the main venders of SCM software.
In 1988, i2 Company was founded by Sidhu & Sharma, in Irving, Texas. Sidhu worked at Texas Instrument. And meanwhile Sharma work with Eliahu Goldraff, the well-known author of The Goal and had pioneered a concept called “bottleneck scheduling”.
In 1990s there are two concurrent changes made i2 sell its product easier :
Network technology enabled to support enterprise-wide data for the decision-making.
Company focus on better inventory management and product availability.
In 1996, i2 went public

RHYTHM is the product of i2 SCM solution. It offers several functions as bellowed:
Use historical data, casual variable and strategic plans to generate and consolidate demand forecasts from different department and planning unit.
Support short to medium term procurement, production, materials handling and capacity planning.
To develop a master plan that included, when, where and what quantities to purchase, produce, store and ship intermediate and finished goods at an aggregate level for entire supply chain
Enabled logistics managers to create operating plans that met their supply chains’ global objectives.
