Health issues have reached an epidemic proportion. Health problems can affect a person due to hereditary traits or it can affect them on how they live their lives. Many health diseases and issues may give no sign of symptoms, which can make the situation worse. If one knows their family members have a health problem and are unsure if they carry the trait as well, they should sFee a health care provider to get tested and discuss how their life style can play a role and how they can change for the positive. Negative health problems can be a frightening concern and can potentially cause other health problems. Hypertension (high blood pressure) is known as a silent-killer since there are no symptoms, it can be transferable through genetics, and can eventually cause many other health problems. In this paper, I will be discussing the negative effects of hypertension, family risk factors, the roles that’s lifestyle pertains to hypertension, how we can turn negative problems to positive solutions, and how we can all lower the potential risks of developing this disease.
Those with a family history of hypertension are twice as likely to develop it as opposed to those who do not have it in their bloodline. Many children of hypertensive parents have slightly higher blood pressure even as infants. As my family has many health problems, hypertension seems to affect more family members than any other health related diseases. The way my family lives has an outstanding affect on their health. The way they eat, their lack of exercise, the way they handle emotional issues, and the habits they have obtained throughout the many years, has put a strain on their health inside and out. Although there is no cure for hypertension, it can be treated and controlled by medications or by changing some negative lifestyles.
