"Much of his philosophical work deals with the issues of how one experiences life as a "single individual", giving priority to concrete human reality over abstract thinking, and highlighting the importance of personal choice and commitment." In the book, "The Hunger Games" by Suzzanne Collins, one such character displays her life as a "single individual" Her name is Katniss Everdeen. Even before the moment she became a tribute she had to be strong and help provide for her family. She began to provide for her family when her father passed away. Her mother became hepless and willing to help none. Because of her mothers lack of support, Katniss is forced to grow up and work hard. This incident alone allows her to establish her own personal thoughts on life... she becomes strong. Katniss grows up to be very strong willed person. She runs soley on the passion and fire within herself. yet thhe fire within herself is powed by the thought to BE herself. " This I knelt down in the water, my fingers digging into the roots. Small, bluish tubers that don’t look like much but boiled or baked are as good as any potato. “Katniss,” I said aloud. It’s the plant I was named for. And I heard my father’s voice joking, “As long as you can find yourself, you’ll never starve.” (4.22)

"Remember, they already love you," he says gently. "Just be yourself." (9.68)
