The person that I would say encompass at least one of these virtues would be my aunt Robin. I believe that she is one of the strongest women I know and I feel that she has the ability to help people without even trying. I believe that my aunt Robin possess the transcendence virtue in life. I will start by explaining with the appreciation of beauty and excellence. She is able to notice the small things that others might find unattractive and make an individual see it in a different light. She has also taught me how to appreciate the beauty of life and all it has to offer. My aunt has always advised me on being aware and thankful for all the good things that happen in life. She also makes it very clear to me that in life everything is not always going to be peaches and cream but not to fret too much on the bad. I have come to realize that the bad is normally a learning experience that you can take and make something positive out of. Although I was devastated when I lost my uncle and sister within a week’s time this year she let me know that God has a plan and his plan for everyone is different but is very important. Although I was taught to have this virtue of transcendence it is not something that is always as simple as it is defined in the reading. I had to be happy and confident in myself as well as think about how I would want people to perceive me. The one thing that I think that is a treasure in itself is having humor. The gift to be able to make people laugh and bring them joy when they are not feeling joyous is a gift from GOD and is one that is cherished. I know that life can be difficult but taking the time to look at all the good things that are in the world is a blessing in itself.
