Please refer to the “Student Conduct and Discipline” section of the “University Regulations”. More information about this issue can be found at: http://www.mdx.ac.uk/regulations/allprogs/studcon.htm. Students registered in this module are accepting knowledge of the University’s, Programme’s and Module’s rules and regulations. In addition, no recordings of lectures/seminars are allowed in any format, unless previously agreed with the lecturer. MOBILEPHONES/SMARTPHONES or other electronic devices are NOT allowed to be used in the class as they disrupt lecture and group works. THEY MUST BE HIDDEN FROM SIGHT AND SWITCHED OFF during the classes. Any electronic devices being looked at, used or interacted with in any way will need to switched off and be placed in neutral place of the lectures discretion. The owner may then retrieve it at the END of the whole session. There may be a “personal needs break” of 5 minutes during the classes and this is the time for students to interact with their devices. If students leave the class and the lecturer believes that they disturb the class then the lecturer reserves the right to require that the student does not return to the class for the rest of the session, but may be allowed re-entry at the end of the class to retrieve materials.
