As we know, employees are the most important resource in all companies. High-performance of human resource management can generate higher profit, increase share price, increase the survival rates of the company etc (Ivancevich 2001, p. 10). But, what are the main responsibilities of human resource managers? Do they just improve the employees’ satisfaction? Or to improve the company’s performance by no matter how they make it?
Satisfying employees’ needs
It is important for human resource manager to make sure the employees are loyal to the company. That means they have to maintain the employer-employee relationship well. If the employees are not satisfied with the ways that company treats them, or feel not cared by the company, they may have low productive, or even leave the company. As mentioned before, employees are the most important resource in the companies. If the companies do not treat their employees well, the employees will not take their work serious. This is why human resource managers need to satisfy the employees in order to provide the companies with well developed employees.
To meet the needs of employees, human resource managers have to be the voice of the employees. By being fair and principled, by saying the concerns of the employees.
