Employment and Recruitment
In every city, state, and country, companies are facing low retention rates. The human resource departments are hiring new employees that may not be the best fit for the company. The employees are also using the company in order to gain experience and move forward in another company in which the employee thinks is a better fit for them. The human resource departments are losing money by sending new employees through high cost training, and these employees are leaving within five years of employment. These issues reflect back to the human resource department and the hiring processes that they use. Coming up will a plan, and executing it will be the way for human resource managers to help recruit and retain possible candidates.
One of the things that human resource managers do is recruiting, employing and training new and upcoming staff members.   Every organization wants to attract, motivate and retain the most qualified employees and match them to jobs for which they are best suited. Human resources, training, and labor relations managers and specialists provide this connection. (Bureau of Labor Statistics 2010)   Employment and recruitment, is a very essential function of the human resource field.   In order to keep your business from high turn over rates you need to hire the right people for that position and make sure they have the right qualifications. Some of the main sources of recruitment are internal promotion and internal introductions, career officers, university appointment boards, agencies for the unemployed, and advertising.
