Executive Summary
In today's society, it is critical to any individual(s) who may be considering entering into the business world to have a complete and thorough knowledge of what it takes in order to successfully maintain a business. "Strategic plans vary with respect to the time period involved. Generally, short-range plans are for one year or less and moderate-range plans for two to five years" (http://nctr.cob.fsu.edu/text/articles).
Both types of plans are usually quite detailed. Long-range plans cover periods of more than five years, perhaps up to fifteen years, and are usually not as specific. Knowledge of the risks, company liabilities and other business related structures that may be pertinent to the success of that company. With the job market and national economy in its current state, one must carefully evaluate the way by which he plans to govern his business. This holds true too for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
    The dangers of the modern world remain unrivaled and parallel no time in history in which crimes have been committed at such a staggering rate. Crimes such as rape, murder, homicide, mass genocide, theft, fraud and now identity theft. It is for these reasons that companies such as the aforementioned are necessary. When dealing with a "how to" plan, it is important to realize what are the keys for the progression of that company.
      In every major city or small town in the U.S., there are both federal and locally governed tasks forces that are designed to keep theses flaws of humanity in check. Ranging from policeman, security guards, private   investigators, the FBI, and even the CIA, these programs have been designed for the sole purpose of protecting and servicing our country.
