| | |Over the past 8 years since the development of first human clone human cloning is a controversial issue. According to Douglas coupland “Cloning is great. If God made the | |original, then making copies should be fine”. | |. | |

Creation of genetically identical copy of humans, human cells and human tissues is known as human cloning. There are mainly three types of human cloning, they are therapeutic cloning, reproductive cloning and replacement cloning. Human cloning has got several advantages, but however the opponents of human cloning argue that human cloning is a bad idea and degrades the human values. According to a CNN poll, "90 percent of Americans think it as a bad idea, which makes human reproduction into a manufacturing process”. They have vague questions about human cloning in their mind. The following are the questions raised by them:

1. Does human cloning effect human natural sexual reproduction?

2. Does human cloning creates new diseases?

3. Does human cloning can bring life to expired human beings?

4. Does it creates humans without any disability?

5. Does human cloning creates social imbalance in the society?

6. Can we loose diversity of genes with cloning?

7. Do Cloned human beings will become competitors for naturally produced humans?

The review on effects of human cloning will focus on these questions.

Does human cloning effect human

natural sexual reproduction?

Many people think that human cloning will affect human natural sexual reproduction. There are people who think that natural sexual reproduction may become obsolete. But, they do not consider about the millions of couples who do not have children. If settle for adoption, but the problem is that the kids are actually not blood related. And this leaves and empty hole in couples lives. Cloning is a great technology which makes these couples to have children. Scientists take the nucleus of an egg cell which they got by a donor. Then they fuse this with the original cell to develop a human clone. This kind of cloning is known as somatic cell nuclear transfer. At present apart from cloning technology, the success rate of infertility treatment is very low. And with the current technology the couples had to go through a tormenting procedure for a low chance of getting a child.

Does human cloning

creates new diseases?

Opponents of human cloning argue that human cloning creates new diseases. It may lead to several genetic diseases. Experts say that cloning cures many terrible diseases for which many of us suffer and die every year. For example AIDS, Kidney diseases, Heart Attack treatment, Removal of Defective genes, Rejunvation, Leukemia, etc,.

This is a well known disease, killing millions of people by damaging human immune system. White blood cells in human body will kill the viruses entering human body. AIDS is caused by a virus called HIV, which kills these white blood cells. With cloning we can create more white blood cells and inject them into patients suffering with AIDS. So that we can save millions of innocent lives.

Kidney Diseases:

Thousands of people are looking for a kidney donor for their kidney transplantation. In doing so many times they may fail. We can clone kidneys for kidney transplantation and save millions of people suffering from kidney diseases.
