Word| What is your personal understanding of each of these terms?| After reading the text, how would you redefine each of them? | What differences did you find between the popular usage and actual definitions? | Karma| My personal understanding of Karma is in life you get back what you dish out to others. | The definition of Karma is our actions and their effects on this life and lives to come. | It is basically the same idea just my opinion was it came back in the same life to where the book states it can back in a later life. | Reincarnation| My definition of the word is after you pass you come back in another form be a human or an animal. | One takes birth again and again in countless bodies—perhaps as an animal or some other life form—but the self remains the same. | I think I had a good basis understanding of reincarnation. I think society understands the belief of reincarnation. | Yoga| My understanding of Yoga is it is a relaxing exercise to clear your mind and relax muscles. | Yoga is the practices for increasingsattvic qualities. | When it comes to Hindu it is more spiritually based then in Western society where is a form of exercise. | Guru | My understanding of a Guru is a person who has great knowledge about many subjects. | A Guru is a venerable spiritual guide. | I understood the higher knowledge, but I see it as any intelligence in this case it is religious. | Chakras| My understanding of Chakras is that it is a type of Indian medicine practice.|  The real definition of the word is subtle energy centers along the spine.|  These areas help with different energies. I knew it had something medically, but never had heard of specifics.|
