HTC Taiwan is a Taiwan based company. The full form of HTC is High Tech Computer Corporation. HTC Taiwan are   manufacturers of portable devices of Microsoft Windows CE. On 15th May, 1997 the company was founded in Taiwan. Cher Wang is the chairwoman of this company. H.T Chou is the President of the company. The famous PDA phones and Windows Mobile Smart phones are built by this company. It has been estimated that about 80% of the PDA and Windows Mobile Smart phones, sold today are made by this company.

Dopod a famous Asian phone brand has been recently adopted by this company. The HTC Taiwan normally operates as an original design manufacturer and as original equipment manufacturer. As an original design manufacturer is builds up devices for wireless carriers like Verizon and T- Mobile. The company has experienced rapid development after it was chosen by Microsoft as a partner for hardware development. The company annual revenue has increased to $2.2 billion in the year 2005, which is 102% more than the previous year.

The company's divisions include WM (Wireless Mobile) engineering division, Information Appliance engineering division. The name of the brands under which the HTC products are sold are Dopod, HTC, Qtek (this is no longer in use).These products are often rebranded under other leading telecommunication carriers like T- Mobile, AT& T, Vodafone, Orange and O2.
