Most of us are too dependant to these electronic gadgets to complete our works and used as a daily necessity where one will feel uncomfortable and inconvenient if he does not bring it along where he goes. Therefore, mankind had became slaves to these gadgets where they are currently controlling us but not us who are supposingly ones that control the gadgets. Why say so? Nowadays ,there is no one that could survive a day or an hour or two without scrolling their facebook, instagram, twitter, even if they knew there is no point just scrolling and looking at friend’s photos, statuses, videos. This habit or addiction or obsession actually causes harms to people, to everyone , to me and you.
Firstly, students like us who are addicted to these electronic gadgets will eventually affect their academic performance. One who are addicted to gadgets, will live in their electronic world, and eventually lost in it. For example, if one is addicted to games, whenever to talk to their friends when they meet would be just games , games and games. When others are studying, they are planting their trees in their farm in farm frenzy. When others are busy revising, they are harvesting their crops and then only will start burning midnight oil when next day is exam. And therefore , they will lose interest in their studies and examinations and tests to them are just nothing. And finally , they will pass their exams with ‘flying colours’ .
Next , being addicted to gadgets also affects health. If one is addicted to gadgets, they started to become more and more passive. Everything is just online and by just a click on the finger. Even communicating with friends, they use facebook, whatsapp, wechat, no longer the 80’s and the 90’s style of going out for a football or a badminton match to enhance the

Everyday people get messages or emails on their phones that they must check to keep in touch with their everyday lives. But most of the time people are using their appliances at dangerous times just because they need to be up to date with every single thing going on around them. Using electronics at terrible times has led to many accidents, “Every year, thousands of pedestrians are injured as they walk in cities. Some researchers say 1 out of 10 of those injuries are caused by a distracting mobile device such as a phone or portable music player”( “Hello Barbie, Goodbye Privacy?”). People are using devices at wrong times and getting hurt because of it. They cannot look away from their phone because there is a whole other world in their hands. Appliances are wanted by all generations, but are not necessary. Similarly, in Fahrenheit 451 the characters are addicted to screens and cannot look away from them for even a minute, " 'Will you turn the parlour off?' he asked. 'That's my family' "(Bradbury 46). Mildred is so connected to the television that she calls it her family and will not look away from it for any amount of time. She is such an addict that she cannot turn it off. The society Bradbury has created is not healthy for people of any age or any style. He proves that automation is hurting us…

Picture you are at home alone. There is no one around. You have done all the things you need to do for the day, and you just want to relax. What do you do? Do you just sit around and watch some television? Are you scrolling aimlessly through various social media accounts? What about playing that new additive game you got last week on your tablet? Whatever you are doing it most likely leads back to technology somehow. This is not necessarily a bad thing because technology was made for our enjoyment, however, some people can be a little too dependent on it these days. Almost everyone in the United States has access to current technology weather it is a smart phone, a computer, or a tablet. This means a lot of screen time for people all over the nation, but unfortunately most people who have this access do not think they have the time to put the devices down to socialize and communicate face-to-face with rest of the world. Just because we are called the digital age does not mean we have to be glued to our phones at all times. In the novel Fahrenheit 451, published in 1953, by…

Can humans live without their smartphones in their hands, their music playing from their MP3s, and their TVs flashing the latest news 24/7? Probably not. Electronics have been a major part of our lives since their beginning. They have provided communication worldwide, and send information about the important events in real time. The entire purpose of this paper is to find out the answer to the question: How does technology affect our daily lives?” Many different sources said many different things, however they somehow all connected at one point or another. “Body and Soul: Beware of Digital Gluttony,” by Kate Wicker, suggests that technology is now apart of us and our lives and there isn't much we can do to change it. “Technology is a real part of our lives, we are living in an “ICulture” whether we like it or not.” (Wicker. Pg.21) She has made it clear that she believes that whether we see technology in a positive or negative way, it’s here to stay. However, Williesha Morris, author of “Technology Addiction: Breaking the Chain,” says something a little different. “If you're an executive over the age of 30-35, you remember a time when such devices didn’t exist. They weren’t needed then, so why are they so crucial now?” (Morris.Pg.17) Morris seems to believe that we don't need them today, or she's at least questioning why society relies on technology as much as it does.…
