Abstract:
          Acquiring an overall view of Human Resource Management with respect to integrating new knowledge includes explanation and examples. I will review, present, and explain in this essay that in all companies, proper management of human resources is vital to being a successful business; human resources must be a critical department within the functional area of an organization.
The basic purposes of this essay is to emphasis and culminate the principles of Human Resources Management by describing the application of the knowledge learned in the field of human resource management, with emphasis on six areas: EEO and Affirmative Action, Human Resources Planning, Recruitment, and Selection, Human Resources Development, Compensation and Benefits, Safety and Health, and Employee and Labor Relations. However, for this knowledge to be relevant, all these HRM areas need to be working together, and need to correspond with the overall business strategy.

According to our text, “Human Resource Management (HRM) is specifically charged with programs concerned with people – the employees.” (Ivancevich, 2010 p.4) Around the world, managers are beginning to recognize that human resources deserve attention because they are a significant factor on top-management strategic decisions that guide the organization’s future operations (Ivancwvich, 2010 p. 9). In today’s world the terms human resource management and/or human resources (HR) is typically called personnel management or a personnel manager. “In simple words, HRM means employing people, developing their capacities, utilizing, maintaining and compensating their services in tune with the job and organizational requirement.” (Storey, 2007)
