HRM 3470 PROJECT
The KNOWLEDGE required for our job is to have:
Excellent computer skills.
Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
Skills in database management and record keeping
Excellent organizational skills: Prepare and process employee letters and forms related to new hires, terminations, transfers, promotions, leaves of absence and salary adjustments.
To assess the knowledge of the candidate we will use Work Samples Tests
They involve the job candidate to produce behaviours related to the job performance under controlled conditions.
Work Sample tests are the best to predict a future behavior under similar situations at the job.
The SKILS required for the job are:
Active Listening by giving full attention to what other people are saying.
Communication skills: being able to convey information effectively.
Must be able to gather and analyze information skillfully.
Make the correct decisions at different situations.
To assess the skills of the candidate we will use Situation judgment test to
Measure an applicant’s judgement in workplace or professional situations.
Evaluate the job candidates based on their response in different workplace situations in terms of being realistic.
The ABILITIES required at the job: to explain instructions and guidelines and train others effectively.
Ability to operate standard office equipment.
Ability to meet schedules and deadlines of the work area.
Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. we will use Cognitive ability tests to assess:
Their intelligence, general mental ability, or intellectual ability of the candidates.
Also, their verbal and numerical ability, reasoning, memory, problem solving, and processing information. ability to learn quickly
Other attributes required for the job:
Copes well in stressful environments and handles complex tasks.
Reliability and dependability on assigned work to complete it ahead of schedule.
Capable of successfully handling various tasks and multiple work assignments.
To assess the other attributes of the candidate we will use aptitude tests to evaluate
The applicant’s proficiency in performing important job tasks and how they would respond or make judgments in different workplace situations.
Assess their leadership potential.
Assess their potential to success at the job.
Ability and capability to handle various job tasks and their strengths and weaknesses.

    The hiring process is difficult enough without the added pressure of Title VII looming over the employer. The employer will look at the applicant 's skills, education, job history, and if the employee will fit with the organization 's culture. The hiring manager will also look at personality, attitude toward work, and future upward mobility.
