The golden rule of “treat others as you would like to be treated” has an important role in managing how organizations deal with employee relations. Most employees just want to be treated fair, honestly and in straightforward manner. When employees are unhappy, feel mistreated, lied to, manipulated or used by their employers is when they sue and this is when having the correct documentation comes into play. Motivated and happy employees will make the organization grow and succeed. Morale can be more important than any wonderful product, cutting-edge technology, or any industry experience. What is the lesson for employers? Invest in the most important asset which is the employees because satisfied employees improve all other areas of a healthcare organization especially patient care. There aren’t many differences in job descriptions for an Employment Assistant example in my text and the Marketing Account Representative position at Alliance Worldwide on Monster.com. The job description for the Employment Assistant position is summarized and straight to the point. Instead of providing the company’s history, the job description actually describes the position. In the Human Resources Management department, the selected individuals must perform professional HR work such as employee recruitment and selection, maintaining files, and other duties. In this position, you must work under general supervision as well. The Marketing Account Representative position is a little different. The description for this position is mostly the history of the company such as willing to hire candidates at an entry-level position and training them into Branch Management. There are different position titles between this entry-level position, and with each promotion, you will be an expert in your previous field and entry-level in another, maintaining a teacher and student mentality. One of the differences is the responsibilities between being in Human Resources Management than a Marketing Representative is that there weren’t any business opportunities available. The job opportunities for Marketing Representatives at Alliance Worldwide are presented immediately upon hiring. Some of the opportunities includes developing entry-level skills and gradually grow to train others. Despite of the different job descriptions of these two positions, each job includes a great deal of education, hard work and training, and the ability to perform.…

Kreitner and Kinicki stated, “Perception is a cognitive process that enables us to interpret and understand our surroundings”(p.185). When employees are evaluating their roles in the workplace, their perceptions of these roles may lead to either an increase or decrease productivity. Whether they develop positive or negative perceptions of their roles in the workplace may lead them to feel valuable, like the make a difference in the workplace, or invaluable and unimportant to the workplace. These varying perceptions are an extremely important concept for managers to understand in order to keep production up and even increase productivity. Managers must not only understand employees’ perceptions of their roles in the workplace, they must also be able to recognize the significance of these perceptions in order to meaningfully interact with employees and encourage them, therefore increasing overall productivity.…

“In the recent time human resource management (HRM) has assumed new prominence because of continuing concerns about global competition, the internationalisation of technology and the productivity of labour. It is argued that these market imperatives require manager to change the way in which they manage the employment relationship in order to allow for the most effective utilization of human resources (HR). Managers and academics argue that the traditional approaches to managing workers are inappropriate and ‘can no longer deliver the goods’ (Betcherman et al., 1994, p. 2). Harnessing workers’ full potential and producing the attitudes and behaviour considered necessary for a competitive advantage require three aspects of managerial control to change: organisational design, culture, and HR policies and practice. Current managerial orthodoxy therefore argues the need for a restructuring towards ‘flat’ hierarchical structures, an enlargement of job tasks with greater employee autonomy and managerial leadership to shape the more intangible aspects of the workplace, for examples beliefs, norms and values.” (Bratton and Gold, 2003, p. 4)…
