How to Train Your Puppy
Trying to train a puppy without the knowledge of what to do can be difficult. All you will need is puppy treats and consistency. I will tell you the training techniques I used on my 3 month old puppy, which is potty trained, can sit and shake. Training your puppy can be easy; you just have to be patient, rewarding, and stern and know what to do. With work and discipline your dog can be smart and well behaved.
New puppies have little bladders and cannot control when they have to use the bathroom. When you first get a puppy the best thing to do is to get them spayed or neutered. Later on it helps male dogs not mark their territory by peeing all over everything inside the home when other dogs are present. First when trying to potty train your puppy let him wander around the house and show him where the door is and how when you open it he can go outside. When they are only a couple of months old you have to let them out every hour to avoid unwanted accidents, also first thing in the morning, after meals, and often during the night. Whenever they go to the bathroom inside, stick their nose in it showing them that is why you are spanking and/or yelling at them. Use a stern voice saying you go outside to potty, and then let him outside. Even though he may not have to go again after their accident you are showing him that that is the right place to use the bathroom. After he uses the bathroom outside, praise him by giving him a treat. After repeatedly doing this and giving discipline when needed your puppy should be potty trained and only have accidents every once in awhile.
When trying to get your puppy to sit use the treats you give him after he uses the bathroom outside. Tell him to sit, and then if he doesn’t understand gently push his butt to the floor and repeat sit. Once he stays with his butt on the floor reward him with a treat.
