How to create a great marketing strategy

For leading in this competitive corporate world, you need to perform the good marketing. Marketing is a great art. Firstly, its essential to know completely about the product or process, for which marketing is to performed. Strategic planning must be there for performing marketing. Here below are my viewpoints regarding effective marketing strategies.
1) Know the product or process - Firstly, know your product or process, about which you are performing the marketing. Marketing helps in increasing profit and also pulling customers. So what is the product, must be displayed or appeared or mentioned correctly in the marketing. Wrong thing must not be conveyed to the customers or audience. If wrong this is conveyed to the viewers, then it can hampers the image of organization.
2) Know your competitors - You must know that stand and power of your competitors. Make the strategy, which must deliver your product better then your competitors. But remember that this must not delivered anything against to your competitors.
3) Know the marketing channels - You must the marketing channels to perform marketing. Like - Newspapers, TV Channels, Brochures, Pamphlets or Websites. Choose the best channel which best suites your product or the process. Choose the websites, if you are performing marketing of job related things, because all professional folks must open the Internet. Choose TV or newspapers for home related products, because most housewives or guardians often read newspapers. So you must know the what should be that better method.
4) Set the appropriate cost of the product - Set the cost of the product accordingly. The cost must not be too high. It must be available to the reach of a middle class person. Because no one buy the new thing, if it costs high. So set the genuine price.
