How to Become an Effective Human Resources Management Officer
Question: Write a 2,500 word paper on how you can become an effective Human Resource manager.

INTRODUCTION

For many people, being in a position with power can be very exciting as well as very intimidating without the rightful skills and knowledge, hence a Human Resource Manager may become frustrated and overwhelmed without the proper skills. To become an effective Human resource manager, you need to understand what is needed to do the job with style and tact. This is a very critical role of the company as it holds the heart of great performance and achievement.
In today’s fast-paced economy competition is an issue of services and products hence much attention has to be directed to a better service and the best product, and also how this can be achieved through utilising the human resources. HR Mangers have a lot of responsibilities as it basically falls onto their shoulders to make sure that the company functions smoothly and effectively. If the HR Manager of an organization fails to perform his duties effectively, the entire working system of the company is affected badly.

According to Gunningle et al (1997: 10), people are the life blood of every organisation. A company’s workforce represents one of its most potential and valuable resources. Consequently, the extent to which a workforce is managed effectively is a critical element in improving and sustaining organisational performance. Managing people is one of the most difficult aspects of organisational management: it means delivering with people who differ physically and psychologically. The essence of Human Resource Management is the aspect of organisational management concerned with the management of an organisations workforce. The purpose of this paper is to develop a model of how to become an effective Human Resource. An effective manager should be able to link the business strategies and the approach to human resource management. In other words for the company’s business strategy to work a dedicated
