Masafi is a leading name in natural mineral bottled water. It was established in 1976 with a paid up capital of approximately USD 5.5 million. They have maintained their leadership status over the past three decades by producing high quality products, known for their freshness naturally. This has allowed Masafi to become a first class name in mineral bottled water across the region. Being number one in mineral water was not enough for Masafi, diversifying its product portfolio was next. Tissues, Juices, Flavoured Mineral Water and Gourmet Chips were next on their list of achievements. Their mineral water ranges from 4 gallons to 125ml per bottle. Tissues line includes boutique fragrances, car tissues and sense of spring packages. Juices are varied in their original flavours and are available from 2L to 200ml bottles. Flavoured water comes in four fresh flavours, strawberry, lemon, peach and mint & lemon, all in 500ml bottles. Gourmet chips are three flavours, sea salt, sweet chilli and four cheeses. Masafi has not only produced a variety of quality foods and beverages, but their aim is quality in every aspect of their company. They were the first to receive the ISO 9002 and ISO 9001:2000 in the Middle East, as well as HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) certifications. Masafi aims at environmental control as part of its Quality initiatives. In July 2008, its Carbon Action Plan began, encouraging recycling of its bottles across the country. This is made easier by its eco-friendly PET (Poly Ethylene Terephalate) packaging. In October 2009, they launched Oxo Biodegradable Film in the wrap packaging, making it the first company in the food and beverage sector across the Middle East to introduce this type of packaging.
