As the internet is growing, it is changing the way we do everyday tasks. The once time-consuming errands can now be done in just a matter of seconds. Things which were nearly impossible before were now made possible. The internet has greatly changed the way people communicate with each other, the way people do research and how they pay their bills.

First of all, the internet is changing how people communicate with each other. For instance, a person working abroad wants to know of his family is doing fine. Instead of having to go through the cumbersome way of sending a letter, he can now use the e-mail as the means of communication. Students also sometimes use the internet to communicate with teacher and classmates.

Second, people consider the internet as a functional tool to do research and gather information about a certain topic. For example, a professor told his students to enumerate the effects of internet in today’s society. Instead of going through the trouble of finding related books in the library, the students can just use the internet to do research.

Third, the people can now use the internet to pay their bills. They do not need to go through the hassle of going to the billing centers just to pay. The internet has made it convenient and less time-consuming.

Although it is more convenient for one to use the internet to everyday tasks, some people still prefer the orthodox way of doing things. It is just hard for some people to change the way they were used to.
