As a human in America many things have become immune to my eyes. I see: cars, airplanes, brick houses, shoe stores, churches, iPods, cell phones, gps devices, every nationality, broken family’s, a place where anything goes as long as its beneficial for you as an individual, a governing state of mind; it’s all normal for my eyes. Indian culture has a totally different model compared to the American culture. Indian culture stems from family values. Unlike the American culture the Indian culture has a very strong family base. American families tend to break apart due to individual desires and goals. Indians will by pass anything that appears to have a short term or long term affect on their family. However, Americans families will individually make a decision that will separate their family forever and could careless about the impact of their decision. In the movie Siddhartha I observed some differences the Indian culture that we don’t share as Americans.…

What is culture? According to Cambridge Dictionary, culture is the arts of describing, showing or performing that represent the traditions or the way of life a particular people or group; literature, art, music, dance, and theater. All humans are introduced to a culture through socialization. “What we learn depends on the culture in which we live as well as our place within that culture” (Ore. T, 5). Often times race and culture are assumed to be one in the same. Race is based on the perception of physical differences in a way to classify individuals. Culture is based on how one person is raised to believe, think, and act in their society.…

Culture is the pattern of thinking and behavior in which people living in a particular social group learn, create and share. Through this, others can distinguish to which society does a person belongs with. The way a person dress, the way he talks and how he thinks about something shows his identity. I think that popular culture has a strong influence to an individual. We may not notice it easily but culture reveals our personality.…

In India, the society is full of people that know everything about a family's history, and also their life. While here in North America, the society does not have that many Indian families which know each other on personal levels. The good thing about having a society full of people that are in the same culture is that they can celebrate major holidays as one and have many other enjoyable times together. I think the bad thing about having too many people of the same culture is that, at times, it can cause a lot of drama and gossip. Drama and gossip are one of the easiest things a person can start. These people spread false rumors, and try to get people to fight over little things. This causes many people to stay away from big extravagant events where everyone joins together to celebrate.…

India's languages, religions, dance, music, architecture, food, and customs differ from place to place within the country. Its culture often labeled as an amalgamation of these diverse sub-cultures is spread all over the Indian subcontinent and traditions that are several millennia old.[1] Several elements of India's diverse culture, such as Indian religions, yoga, and Indian cuisine, have had a profound impact across the world. Pakistan and North Indian States follow the medieval Indo-Persian culture, exemplified by it's musical, culinary and architectural designs like the Taj Mahal, while South India is largely independent from foreign influences — three of the four languages classified as classical languages of India belong to the Dravidian language family, namely Kannada, Tamil and Telugu.…
