How has membership of the EU changed the nature of the state and the role of the state in Bulgaria?

European integration is the process of political, legal, economic (and in some cases social and cultural) integration of states wholly or partially in Europe. The period of preparing to be a member of EU is so important as the moment of accession. To join the European Union, a state needs to fulfil economic and political conditions Bulgaria starts her negotiations in 2000 and until 2007 year there were a great number of changes and standardizations. It necessary because the membership of European Union is a contract – there are conditions, obligations and rights of the two sides.
The membership of the EU changes the role of the state because that is the idea of an union – to maintain the stability of its members through creating common standards and rights. How exactly that has influence of the role of the state depends from the government in the states and her position of international stage. In Bulgaria EU had changed the ole of the state because of all politics are subordinated to EU. And that is completely normal in view of the fact that Bulgaria is ex-socialist state, with a lot of social problems and financially depends on EU.
Actually Bulgaria needs a control. So the role of the EU is very important for Bulgarian social growth, Respectively to Bulgarian governance. I think that EU already has not a big influence on a party machine because of private interests of some political leaders. I give the example with social reform in Bulgaria that is urgent. But Bulgarian Minister of Economy (Simeon Djankov) is tend to exaggerate the situation, to underline the achievement of his governance and to compare his work with the same of previous governance and nothing more. So he does not want to make a social reform because nobody wants it. My opinion that Bulgaria is “proud” with leaders who at the beginning of their mandate start working and after a few...
