House rules is story that involves no ordinary family. the mother , Emma has two son Theo and Jacob , who has autism and a love for forensic .Jacob has to have a structured schedule and has problem communicating and socializing with other people so his mother hires Jess, a young lady assigned to help Jacob become more social . Jess one day is found dead and Jacob becomes one of the main suspect is Jacob. They go to trial and Jacob seems to be the main suspect of the crime because all the evidence point to him.

One of the main point in the story is how the lawyer uses expert testimony to try to convince the jury member and the judge that Jacob cannot have had committed the crime due to having asperger syndrome. One of the symptom of having AS is the need to follow the rules not because it morally right but because their brain can’t comprehend going against a rule.
