1-Introduction to Honda Vietnam
name: Honda Vietnam Corporation.
Honda Vietnam Corporation was established in 1998.
Head office: Phuc Yen district- Vinh Phuc province
Honda Vietnam (HVN) is a joint venture, comprises of 03 partners: • Honda Motor Company (Japan - 42%)
• - Asian Honda Motor Co. (Thailand - 28%)
• - Vietnam Movers and Farm Machinery Corporations (Vietnam - 30%) Honda Co. received investment license in Production of motorcycle assembly: Number 1521/GP March 22, 1996. Business activities: Manufacture and assembly of motorcycles and motorcycle parts of Honda brand; Production and assembly of cars below 9 seats. Charter capital: $ 62,900,000 (under Investment License)

3- the distribution of Honda heads
Honda heads appear almost every provinces and cities of Viet Nam. Its strategies make a big influence in consumer choices. Exclusive distribution: luxury products (Sh,…) are distributed to the big Stores at the big cities in Vietnam (Hanoi, Saigon,…). So, Honda doesn’t need to waste lots of money to control their credential stores. Widely distribution: To create some benefits for its customers to reach their products through establishing many credential stores which are far away from its primary dealer. Therefore, Honda can ensure that their products are sold with the price set by Honda. 4- Prices of Honda Motorcycle
A product is sell which has appropriate quality and price. Honda Viet Nam mostly based on income segmentation to set the price for these products in Viet Nam market. In the upper class the price is about 37-80 millions VND, the middle class is 24-36 millions VND, the working class is 17-21 millions VND and the lower class is less than 17 million VND. The products for upper class have luxurious designs while the products for others class mainly designed to transport. About the prices, Honda Viet Nam has many problems need to be solved. For example: * In the mid 2010, the prices of Honda Motorcycle creased rapidly ( example : prices of Lead increased 3 million VND, Air Blade 3-4 millions VND, PCX 9 millions VND...) In fact, the prices increased has 2 mainly reasons. First, in 2010, the credit growth 30%. It means there is a lot of money in Viet Nam market. Secondly, Honda produced ‘’ dribs and drabs’’. It created the feeling “ shortage “,stimulate consumer purchasing in hot products, developed agents ... * From 2011 to 2012, the economic crisis directly affect the demand (for example: the prices decreased about 0,3 to 3 million VND per product; the revenue decreased 60 to 70% over 2010 figures). There are many reasons for these issues: high taxes, apply road taxes, transportation owner document.., fuel prices increased, low incomes, unemployment rate increased, many firms went bankrupt... To solve this problem, Honda Viet Nam should focus on low price products and develop technologies in greatly increased power and better fuel economy.
