Homosexuality: Inborn Trait or a Choice

How does one define hate? Webster defines hate as feeling hostility or animosity toward someone. Much like love, hatred is often blind, making people prone to believe things that aren’t true. Many fall victim to this reality, resulting in feelings of animosity and prejudice with little or nothing to back it up. This hatred often has to do with race, religion, gender, politics or sexual orientation. As you know one can’t just go and change his or her skin tone or gender. It isn’t as if one was asked to be white, black, Hispanic, Native American exc., nor female or male. This is just the way the person was born. Seeing it from this point of view I wonder why a person will choose to be a homosexual. It isn’t that the person was born this way, more as so it was a choice and path they chose to take. Many wonder was it caused by environmental factors, what was the child introduced to in the earlier ages, was the child sexual molested, or was it caused by genetic or inborn traits? Homosexual is defined as: Of, relating to, or having a sexual orientation to persons of the same sex. To better understand this topic you must understand in full what sexual orientation is. Sexual orientation refers to an enduring pattern of emotional, romantic, and/or sexual attractions to men, women, or both sexes. Sexual orientation also refers to a person’s sense of identity based on those attractions, related behaviors, and membership in a community of others who share those attractions. Sexual orientation can be broken down into three subcategories: heterosexual (having romantic and sexual feelings/relations toward the opposite sex), lesbians (having feelings/romantic and sexual relations with a woman being that you are a woman) and gay men (having feelings/sexual feelings/relations with a man being that you are indeed a man).
