Specific Purpose: To inform my audience about the different steps involved in buying a house. Central Idea: Buying a house can be an exciting process. However, it is also complex, involving several steps such as financing, finding the property, and the closing process. *Introduct*ion Grab Attention: Raise your hands if you plan to one day own a house? Raise your hand if you have an actual plan on how to make that happen? Relevance: I am glad to see that all of you have the desire to own a house someday, but buying a house is a lengthy process that requires a lot more than you may realize. Credibility: I, being someone fortunate enough to own property, it is my pleasure to explain to you the process of buying a house. Preview: Specifically, I will briefly discuss some of the steps, such as: getting financed, selecting a property, the closing. Transition... First, I will discuss financing. Body B. Getting financed. The first step in getting financing is to check your credit. Make sure all your information is accurate and up to date on all your credit reports. If you find any mistakes, communicate it to the credit bureaus. You should also examine your finances. Determine how much you can afford. Take stock of your income and expenses and determine what you can comfortably manage each month. Shop for a loan. Check the current interest rates and loan cost. For example, application fees, prepayment penalties, and loan terms among other things. Compare at least three lenders. Transition…my third point is selecting a property. C.
