Without a Roof
How you ever realized how lucky we are on having a place where to sleep on. Every night we go to bed we should stop and think about the millions of people who suffer for not having a roof where to sleep under. According to The National Coalition for the Homeless it is impossible to know the exact number of homeless people in America however they estimate that there are more than 3 million homeless people from which: About 30 percent are families with children, 50 percent are single men, 14 percent are single women, 20-30 are employed, 40 percent are veterans, 30 percent are children without families. Homelessness is an important concern because although many of these people are good people many others are ex-convicts that have been in jail for different types of offences such as sexual assaults among others which means that can be dangerous for our society. That is why it is so important to end with this problem. There are many reasons why all these people are homeless however I believe that there are two major reasons for this problem: one is because they have no other choice due to economic problems and the second is due to their own decision.
Homelessness is a complex problem, so not all homelessness is caused by one particular reason. One of the most serious causes of homelessness is the lack of money. Many people seems to be forced to leave their houses because they have no enough money to pay their utilities, some others don’t even have a job. According to the News bureau Labor Statistics (Dec. 2007), the number of unemployed persons is 7.2 million. Due to nowadays most jobs require more skills it is even harder for poor people to get a well paid job if they don’t have an education. As a result they have no other option than go to live to the streets.
Another important reason why people are homeless is due to themselves. Some are lazy and do not want to work, others are irresponsible and think that getting money without working is best...
