Causes for High School Students Dropping Out
In the United States, too many students are dropping out of high school. Though with their decisions to leave school, individuals have their own individual reasons, surprisingly among all of them the students have several common factors in this decision leading to a different type of future.
Nobody denies that going to school every day, struggling daily would not make a young teenage student consider dropping out and giving up. A good deal of students in a survey admit that a reason for dropping out is when the work gets hard, and struggling and becomes an everyday state of being students are discouraged. Certainly, the students will feel disengaged and dropping out becomes an option or their only choice because students don’t know what else to do. This is very understandable, but at the same time others may argue that there are programs at schools to help students who are having troubles.
In general, we are seeing a lot more teen pregnancies in our society. No matter where a person lives we have all seen a situation of a teenager girl becoming pregnant. Unquestionably having a baby as a teen is a huge job and even bigger responsibility. When a young teen girl gets pregnant, she needs lots of emotional and financial support which odds are usually doesn’t happen. Teenagers these days are not taking steps to prevent pregnancy when they are sexually active. Schools talk to teens about safe sex and there are Planned Parenthoods throughout the great northwest to help inform teens and provide them with the materials to prevent pregnancy. However, teens are doing adult things without taking adult precautions. Resulting in teen pregnancy which leads to dropping out of school because raising a baby is a full time job and cost money.
