The Elmore Stoutt High School Is an Institute
To be an institute the Elmore Stoutt High School (ESHS) must the necessary characteristics. Such as, it should have an organizational structure, it should have a hierarchical structure, it should serve particular needs of society, and it may have sanctions such as rewards or punishments. It should also endure over time. Indeed the ESHS has those characteristics.
The Elmore Stoutt High School is a highly organized; it has several categories of employees. Principal, Deputy Principal, Assistant Principal, Counselors, Head of Departments are all employees of ESHS. The school also has timetables for both students and teachers, showing the times for the different subjects. In addition, there are specially equipped rooms provided for laboratory and workshops exercises. The school also has rules to guide the behavior of the students.
ESHS has a hierarchical structure that helps manages the relationship and tasks that exist within the school. The employees within the school are usually rank with the Ag Principal at the head of the food chain, then the Deputy Principal which is followed by the Assistant principals and so on.
The Elmore Stoutt High School serves the particular needs of society. This is done by providing society with a population skilled in a variety of subject areas. ESHS also provides students with attitudes and values that are needed by society in order to ensure peace and progress. In addition, the school serves as an agent of cultural transmission.
In ESHS, if a student is hard working, getting good grades and have exemplary behavior, he/she is placed on the Honour Roll and is later reward with prizes, praise and certificates. But, if a student is disruptive, destructive, talkative, troublesome, and/or always getting in trouble, he/she is punish. The punishment may be scolding, writing lines, detention, suspension, expulsion and referral to the police.
