School vs colleges

Childhood and adolescence are usually the happiest and most careless periods in our lives, but there always comes the time when a young person starts asking questions “What am I going to do in my life?”, “How can I be successful in my future?” Many young people understand the importance of proper education for their future and think of going to a college after graduating from high school. To compare and contrast them is almost unfair, because they are two completely different worlds, each with their own individual qualities. The differences are aplenty, and in many ways they are also similar. Personal freedom is the main difference between high school, and college. High school is mandatory by the state, and usually free if you go to a public school. In contrast, college is usually voluntary, and very expensive. In high school, your time is usually structured by others. For example, endless tuition classes and extracurricular activities needed to attend. In college, you manage your own time. You have to manage your own time and study and do homework because you know that is needs to be done to pass the class for example , In High School most teachers will assign you to turn in your homework late if you give them an excuse such as "I forgot it at home" or "It is in my locker". In contrast, in College if you give your professor one of these excuses, they will say "Too bad" and you do not have another opportunity. Another difference are the attendance polices. In High School the teachers are always on you about attendance; that is, if you miss to many days, you can fail, so if you are not in class, they want to know why; in addition, they probably call your parents and let them know that you were not in class. On the contrary, in College the teachers do not care whether or not you are in class; it means that if you are not there, you are going to get a failing grade, so you have to be responsible to succeed..
