My name is Zeyana and I am speaking for the opposition on the motion that endangered animals should not be protected.......
Before I start my points and I would like to make some rebuttals:

It isn’t their fault about climate change and habitat loss so it is our duty to protect them. We would not need to protect them if we did not expose them into a society where they are vulnerable and at risk. If us (man) were to cut down on things like deforestation which makes thousands and thousands of losses of habitat all around the world. This is one of the primary causes that endanger animals in the first place. Climate change is also a big thing that affects their lifestyles. Why do we always only have to think of ourselves? Why do we have to be selfish? We destroy everything they have and throughout these things that we do, we only think of ourselves. Will it benefit us? Will it help us?
Well the answer to that is yes. The ecosystem depends on animals. Because every species has its place in the cycle of life, when one is eliminated a part of the ecosystem dies, which causes a negative chain effect on every other creature it sustains or comes in contact with. If we take them away what right do we have to live? None because we are animals ourselves. We cannot cast ourselves aside from other animals because we do not know what they are potentially capable or incapable of. They have more of a right than us to be on this planet because they were the original inhabitants. We are destroying their original land and giving them less places to live. Isn’t it time to stop? We are all humans and we have a conscience. Hundreds of thousands of species have come and gone naturally before man even had much impact. Nature kills... [continues]
